A science lesson

A fourth grade class at St. Joan of Arc completed an hourly observation of the position and length of fellow student Maya Brown’s shadow. The students proved that, as the Earth rotates, sunlight shines on an object from different angles, creating a change in the shadow’s position and size throughout the day. The students marked the position and length of the shadow at each hour’s observation to record the differences, as Morgan Hibbard is shown doing.
