LAPLACE — The Port of South Louisiana’s Policy and Planning Director and President of Infragard Louisiana Lester Millet III recently received the 2014 Louisiana Technology Council Governor’s Technology Award for Growth Organization of the Year, presented to a company or organization that demonstrates significant growth over the past year.

As president of Louisiana Infragard, Lester has presided over an Infragard Chapter nationally recognized amongst 84 chapters as being one of the top chapters in the country.

As lead architect, Millet has been instrumental in the development and outreach of two of Infragard Louisiana’s major projects: Louisiana School Safety Initiative Multi-hazard Toolkit & The Infragard/Louisiana State Police Next generation Reentry Protocol.

Both projects are receiving attention. Infragard Louisiana has been host to numerous FBI Threat Briefs (physical/cyber), and conducted a third advanced “Cyber” Workshop (Tiger Trap).
