Gustav/Ike program accepting comments

BATON ROUGE — The state of Louisiana is accepting public comments on an Action Plan Amendment to expand planning activities related to recovery from hurricanes Gustav and Ike.

No funds are being transferred, as $5.7 million has already been set aside by the state for planning.

The state is accepting public comments on Action Plan Amendment 23, which can be found at doa.louisiana.gov/cdbg/dr/GI_ActionPlans.htm.

The formal public comment period runs until 5 p.m. Nov. 25. After accepting public comments, the state will submit the plans to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for final federal approval. A copy of the plans can be requested by calling 225-219-9600.
