BOUTTE — “Twelve Angry Jurors” unfolds on a sweltering summer day as a jury is filed into a deliberation room.
Members must determine the verdict of a murder case in which a young man is accused of killing his father and faces the death penalty if found guilty.
What starts as an open-and-shut case twists into a drama as each juror begins to question how he or she should cast their vote.
“Twelve Angry Jurors” is an adaptation of Reginald Rose’s classic “Twelve Angry Men,” allowing for a cast of men and women.
Cast members of the Hahnville Theatre production include Kirstie Schexnaydre, Paul Phelan, Keiko Bernard, Tori Gomez, Alicia Briones, Madison Cancienne, Macie Barrios, Donald Morgan, Gabie deBruler, Haley Faulkner, April Rosario and Mallory Rougeou as the twelve jurors and Lauren Watson as the guard. Megan Harms directs the production with Madison Fremen as Stage Manager.
“Twelve Angry Jurors” will be presented Nov. 13, 15, 19 and 20 in the Hahnville Auditorium in Boutte. Shows start at 7 p.m., and tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.
Buy a season pass for “Twelve Angry Jurors” and “Urinetown” (the winter musical) for $12. Tickets can be purchased online at hhs12angryjurors.eventbrite.com.
