VACHERIE — As the River Region Chamber of Commerce prepares for Chambercopia, thanksgiving is in the air, and not just the aroma of a deep fried turkey.

Chambercopia, an event dedicated to honor and thank members, will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 at St. Joseph Plantation.

“The whole purpose of this event is to basically give thanks to all the members of the Chamber, because without them we wouldn’t have a Chamber,” Business Development Chair Rhonda Louque said.

The RRCC is an organization in which business individuals from all three parishes come together to form one community.

This event celebrates and strengthens that community by sharing in a Cajun Thanksgiving-style meal catered by PJ’s Coffee.

Members will enjoy the catered meal together, music and prizes.

Katie Klibert of Reserve Telecommunications attended the first Chambercopia in 2013, saying the Chamber achieved the goal of making members feel appreciated.

“Being a member of the River Region Chamber of Commerce provides a network of people in the River Parishes that would be impossible to achieve on an individual level,” Klibert said. “Chassity and her staff go above and beyond to make sure every member feels welcome and appreciated throughout the year, not just at the Chambercopia.”

Chambercopia is one of the Chamber’s last big events of the year.

The Chamber just released a new resource for members on its website, Tools for Business. The Chamber staff is looking forward to an exciting and eventful year in 2015.
