Margaret “Maggie” Schexnayder passed away at her residence on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014.

She was 98, a native and resident of Garyville.

She was the daughter of the late Lydia Lambert and Maurice Schexnayder; cherished sister of Hilda Schiro (Anthony) and the late Earl Schexnayder, Mildred Williams, Rev. Lester Schexnayder and Lloyd Schexnayder; and beloved aunt of Jean McCoy, Eugene Schexnayder, Glenn Schiro and Lydia DeSoto.

She is also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews and one great-grand niece.

Schexnayder was a member of St. Hubert Ladies Altar Society and a recipient of The St. Louis Medallion.

The family expresses grateful appreciation for the love and caring assistance given to Maggie Schexnayder by Darlene Johnson, Anna Ocmond and Eileen Esper.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 176 Anthony Monica St. in Garyville, followed by interment in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Reserve.
