The eighth grade students at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School are part of the “maker generation” by designing objects to be used in their science projects.

The students are using a program called Tinkercad to design the objects, then are printing them on the school’s new 3D printer and discovering whether or not their calculations and designs worked the way they anticipated.

This program and printer take hands-on learning to a new level.
