LAPLACE — Nalco Champion, an Ecolab company, awarded $34,000 to schools in St. John the Baptist Parish through the Ecolab Foundation’s 2014 Visions for Learning grant program.
Visions for Learning grants are awarded to K-12 educators throughout the U.S. to support and engage students, help augment basic skills instruction and enrich the classroom experience.
“We understand the importance of supporting our communities, and we consistently support educational initiatives to help today’s students become tomorrow’s leaders,” said Carl Pasquarelli, manager of Nalco Champion’s Garyville facility. “Through the Visions for Learning grant program, we’re helping to ensure that educators have the additional resources necessary to enhance the classroom experience for their students.”
The grants were awarded to seven schools: Emily C. Watkins Elementary, Fifth Ward Elementary, Our Lady of Grace, Riverside Academy, St. Charles Catholic High School, St. Peter School and West St. John High School.
