Grace Alexis Populus completed her earthly journey on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2014, at the age of 92.

She was the daughter of the late Laurent and Nobia Alexis; wife of the late Hamilton Populus; mother of Gloria Populus Keller (Larry), Harriett Populus Banner (William) and the late Verdell Populus. Grandmother of Larry Keller Jr. Wynette), Verdell M Banner (Leila), Michael Keller (Lauren), Michelle Keller, William Banner Jr. (Taneshia), Joycinta Banner, and Joyceia Banner; great-grandmother of Jermery Jones, Tiara Banner, Andrew Keller, Verdell J Banner, Dreyson Keller, Sarah Banner, Maya Hoge, Kendall Keller, Kyson Keller; sister of Gloria crayton, Deloris Brown, Olga Barnes, and Zenobia Bachemin, Lawrence Alexis, Elmo Alexis, and Merlin Alexis.

She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Vacherie on Friday, Sept. 5. Father Decker officiated. Interment was at St.Philip Catholic Church Cemetery in Vacherie.
