EDGARD — Errol and Tonya Victor, the married couple found guilty earlier this month in the homicide of Tonya’s 8-year-old son M.L. Lloyd III, will be sentenced by Judge Mary Becnel at 1 p.m. Sept. 15.
On Aug. 1, Errol was found guilty of second-degree murder and Tonya was found guilty of manslaughter in the April 2008 homicide of M.L.
District Attorney Tom Daley said Errol’s sentence for second-degree murder is non-discretionary life without the possibility of parole. After sentencing Errol will be remanded to the Department of Corrections, where he would more than likely be sentenced to Angola.
Tonya, on the other hand, will be sentenced to anywhere from 10 to 40 years for her manslaughter charge. Daley said Tonya would not be allowed to use all of the time she’s spent in jail to ease her sentence.
