U.S. Sen. David Vitter will host a town hall meeting from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in LaPlace to hear from constituents in St. John the Baptist Parish.

“There’s been a lot going on in Washington lately, and it could use more Louisiana common-sense,” Vitter said in a release announcing the meeting. “I want to hear from folks on some of these big issues — like Obamacare, our border crisis and any other issues they want to discuss.

“I always appreciate hearing from Louisianians, which is why I’ve made it one of my top priorities to visit every parish every Congress.”

The meeting starts at 9 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Parish Council Chambers, 1805 West Airline Highway in LaPlace.
