ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — Richard P. Campbell, 77, of Holly Hill passed away at home on June 26, 2014.

Campbell was born in Duluth, Minn., son of Henry and Lois (Gotch) Campbell. He honorably served in the U.S. Army.

A retired field engineer for Dictaphone, Campbell had been a resident of Holly Hill for 20 years. He was a proud and active member of the Clan Campbell Society serving as Region 12 Deputy Commission and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

He enjoyed working for the City of Ormond Beach Department of Leisure Center and at the Performing Arts Center. He was a talented woodman and carved many beautiful clocks.

He also was an avid ham radio operator for 60 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Rick (Heather) Campbell of Seattle and Ron (Cherie) Linsten of Mandeville; brothers, Bruce (Mary) Campbell, John Campbell and Terry (Sandy) Schuman; sister, Jacqueline Cassetty and four grandchildren.

His daughter Tonya Rae Campbell and brother James Campbell predeceased him in death.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Road in Ormond Beach, Fla.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at noon Thursday.
