The St. James Parish Small Business Appreciation Banquet was held June 24 at the St. James Boat Club.

The Guest Speaker was Colonel (Retired) Pat Santos, director of business development of Stephenson Disaster Management Institute. The key topic related to being prepared for an emergency and managing the chaos after a disaster.

The crowd was entertained by Cajun humorist Murray Conque, and catering was provided by Spuddy’s restaurant.
