LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested and booked a suspect on a fugitive warrant for the Ponchatoula Police Department at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as Jobyes Devon Parker, 25, of Hammond.

He was wanted by Ponchatoula police for armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.

Parker was apprehended at a hotel on U.S. 51 in LaPlace. He was transferred to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Thursday.
