Hi, our names are Helen Clement and Kristy Jones. Our daughters, Paisley Clement and Kalleigh Jones, are part of the Miss Heart of the USA pageant.

Paisley is the Miss Heart of Spring’s Queen of Hearts, and Kalleigh is the Miss Heart of Norco’s Queen of Hearts. They have earned their titles by Paisley donating over 4,200 nonperishable food items and Kalleigh donating over 1,000 items to the St. John Parish Ministry of Care Food Pantry.

By holding these prestigious titles, our girls have moved on to the state pageant. The State pageant will be June 27 in New Orleans.

Miss Heart of the USA prides itself on helping the community. They have started a pageant to get girls in involved in their communities. One of their goals is to feed needy families by donating to local food banks.

They raise money for scholarships for the queens. This money also allows them, the less fortunate, to participate in their pageant by paying for their entry fees. I heard it once said, every girl should feel pretty no matter how much money she has. They are able to accomplish this by having sponsors and great girls participating in their pageants.

Our girls will be holding a car show Saturday across from the Spillway Bar 15641 Airline Highway in Norco (in the empty lot). Registration starts at 2 p.m., and judging at 6 p.m.

We will giving out plaques for first, second and third place. The entry fee is $15.

We will be having D.J., silent auction items and a raffle for a crawfish pot and a 65-quart Pelican ice chest with a drawing at 7 p.m.

All trucks, cars and bikes welcome. Please come out and support our girls in their goal to Stomp Out Hunger.

The money that is collected will go toward buying food to donate to Sacred Heart Church Food Pantry in Norco.
