The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board recognized its state science and social studies fair winners at its May 15 meeting.

Amiya Lumar, of West St. John Elementary School, placed fourth in cellular and molecular biology at the state level.

Torrian Moore, of Lake Pontchartrain Elementary School, received honorable mention in cellular and molecular biology at the state level.

Jamal Walters, of West St. John High School, placed fifth in economics at the state level. The students are pictured with Superintendent Kevin George.
