LAPLACE — Nearly 200 people packed into LaPlace’s Knights of Columbus Hall Friday morning to pay tribute to America’s veterans at the 16th annual Get High on Life Memorial Day Breakfast.

Veterans from all branches of the military were honored at the breakfast, and GHOL founder Harold Keller read aloud the names of St. John the Baptist Parish natives who sacrificed their lives during World War II.
