Betty Jean Coit Poché, 73, was born Aug. 3, 1940, and passed away Oct. 16, 2013, at 10:35 p.m. She was a native of Felt, Okla., and a resident of Paulina.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Denis Poché; a son, Daniel Poché (Daphne); daughters: Deborah Poché (Gayla Villenurve), Brenda Toups (Jules Jr.), and Teresa Herndon (David); a brother, Billy Coit Jr.; and sisters: Patty Bogard, and Mayrie Lovin.  She is also survived by four grandchildren: Chris Minton, Andrew Toups, Isabella Toups and Brody Villenurve; and three great-grandchildren: Trinity Minton, Serenity Minton and Bryor Minton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Coit and Edith Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the St. James Parish Relay for Life, 1645 Lutcher Ave., Lutcher, LA 70071.  
Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
