David A. Hymel, 54, was born on July 24, 1959, and passed away Oct. 17, 2013, at St. Joseph Car-penter House in Baton Rouge. He was a native and resident of Convent. He is survived by two daughters: Monica Rose Hymel and Chris Alayna Hymel; his parents, Charlie Hymel and Joyce Landry Hymel; a sister, Sharon Hymel Price of Bostic, N.C.; and friend Pam Reynaud, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and friends.  
He was an employee of Mosaic in Convent for 33 years.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Convent from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, is in charge of the arrangements.
