LULING — United Way of St. Charles held its Annual Business Meeting recently to report the organization’s standings after its annual audit and select new leadership for its Board of Directors.
A report from Certified Public Accounting firm Martin and Pellegrin was presented indicating United Way of St. Charles is on firm financial ground going into the 2013-14 fiscal year. The report also stated the organization is maintaining low administrative costs while decreasing operational expenses and increasing program expenses.
At the annual meeting, the UWSC Board of Directors also elected new officers. Brian Eiler was elected board president. Eiler is a resident of Destrehan, where he and his wife, Amy, live with their two children, Aidan and Nadia. He is a production leader at Dow St. Charles Operations.
“I have been involved with the United Way through Dow and the parish in numerous ways over the last handful of years,” stated Eiler. “I am looking forward to taking on the role of board president as an exciting way for me to continue my community involvement with an even larger impact.”
The UWSC Board of Directors also elected Greg Mollere as its vice president and Loyd Bourgeois as its secretary/treasurer.
In addition, Nicole Day, Heather Lyons and Brent Stratton were accepted as new members of the UWSC Board of Directors.
“We are fortunate to have such active volunteers help lead our organization. Our board is very representative of St. Charles parish and remains current on issues facing our Parish. This is important as they guide us into the future so we can have the most positive impact on our community,” commented John Dias, UWSC executive director.
