LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies recently arrested a Reserve woman in the theft of a wallet.
The victim told deputies that she had accidentally left her wallet on the counter after she conducted business at a bank in Reserve. When she realized that she had forgotten it, she called bank personnel to check for the wallet. Bank employees viewed video surveillance and saw that an unidentified woman took the wallet and exited the bank.
Detectives identified the perpetrator as Rebecca Thiery, 41, of Regala Park Road in Reserve, and then located her at the residence. Thiery was arrested 18 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since August, 1993. She cooperated with detectives in the investigation.
