ST. ROSE – The River Region Chamber of Commerce held its second business meets government event to encourage local businesses and elected officials in St. Charles Parish to build meaningful relationships.
Chamber members gathered at St. Rose Travel Center on Tuesday evening to enjoy some quality one-on-one time with public officials. Members of the St. Charles Parish Council, local government and sheriff’s department were present, as well as businesses such as Dow, Entergy, REI Promos, WDG Architects, Rainbow Chevrolet, River Parishes Workforce Act Program, Latter & Blum, Destrehan Family Health Center and Allfax. Light refreshments were also served.
“The mission of the Chamber is to grow, strengthen and unify business in the River Region. I think it’s important that all business people know who their government officials are and who they can go to when they encounter any government-related issues with their business,” said Nathan Stein, the chair-elect of the River Region Chamber of Commerce.
Stein said he was happy the event was so well-attended.
“You have to know all these people. Business has to know the people who run the place that they do business in,” he said.
