Boy Scout Troop 406 in LaPlace recently performed more than 12 hours of community service. They completely landscaped the yard of a local family’s who that recently recovered from damages from Hurricane Isaac.
Then they spend a day pressure washing, cutting grass, edging and landscaping the Freshman Success Academy at East St. John High in preparation for the upcoming school year. The boys did these task as a completion to their summer, which included two weeks of summer camp and a week of hiking in the Smokey Mountains.
