LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives recently arrested a repeat offender during a narcotics investigation.
Narcotics detectives attempted to stop Allen Sanders Jr., 37, of Williamsburg Drive in LaPlace, who was driving a vehicle that was allegedly being used to facilitate his drug activity. He refused to stop, and detectives pursued Sanders on a chase through neighborhoods in Cambridge and Riverlands subdivisions. Sanders has been arrested 14 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since April 1997
Sanders finally stopped the vehicle on Woodland Drive and fled into a wooded area. Detectives apprehended him shortly after and obtained judicial court ordered search warrants for the vehicle and the Williamsburg residence that he shared with his girlfriend, Tryneisha Williams.
Based on the evidence collected on both search warrants, Sanders and Williams were arrested and booked. Sanders was booked with aggravated flight from an officer, resisting an officer, reckless operation, no license and possession of schedule II CDS. He remains in custody with a $127,100 bond.
Williams, 33, was booked with possession of schedule II CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of justice. She bonded out of jail on a $16,500 bond.
