Standng up for your Christian beliefs

I never thought I’d live long enough to see God mocked as Christianity is viciously attacked. Should I be surprised? No, but I am, even though the Bible talks about the conditions of the world in the last days.
Recently Tony Miano, an American evangelist, was arrested while preaching on the streets in Great Britain. The reason was because he was preaching against homosexuality, using what God’s Word calls a sin and about same
sex marriages. He is seen on the video saying, “It’s not what I think, but what the Word of God says
and I believe.” He was accused of offending the people who endorse sick activity as an acceptable lifestyle.
In a university in California, Audrey Jaris, a student wearing a necklace with a cross, was approached by a supervisor and asked to take it off. He said it might offend people with different views on spirituality. She refused, and later the university apologized for the incident.
In another high school classroom in America, a 14-year-old was told by the teacher to write the word Jesus on a blank piece of paper, crumble it up, throw it on the floor and step on it. She refused and stood up for her Christian faith.
Two ladies protesting a gay and lesbian march were attacked and beaten for exercising their right to peaceably protest their opposite views.
As Christians, Jesus warns us of the last days in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5: 11-12). “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
I’m not looking forward to being persecuted, but when I’m tested I pray that I have the courage to finish this earthly walk strong.
