LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish deputies arrested a LaPlace man last Friday after he entered a residence without permission.
On June 9, deputies responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Ridgefield Drive in LaPlace for the report of a subject entering a residence. The residents told deputies they were in the living room when they heard the front door open. When the couple went to check the front door, they encountered a male subject who stated that he thought they were in the backyard.
He fled from the residence and entered
the passenger side of
an older white vehicle. The victims reported that nothing was
stolen and no one was injured.
Over the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ulysses Joseph Jr., 47, of LaPlace as the suspect who entered the residence. Joseph has a lengthy arrest record. He has been arrested 45 times in St. John Parish.
He was arrested again on June 28 with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and parole violation. Joseph remains in
jail with a $16,000 bond and a parole violation hold.
