LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish announced the addition of Public, Education and Government  programming for AT&T U-Verse customers on Wednesday morning.
All information will be broadcast on channel 99, providing access to emergency information, upcoming events, public meetings and announcements.
“In an effort to improve communications with residents, St. John the Baptist Parish purchased and installed new equipment to provide government programming to AT&T U-Verse customers,” said Parish President Natalie Robottom.  “It is critical that we are able to communicate information to as many residents as possible and the AT&T U-Verse group was previously excluded.”
Residents interested in posting meeting announcements and/or upcoming events should contact the St. John the Baptist Parish Communication’s Department at 985-652-9569 for approval and posting. 
“We are happy to have another avenue of communicating with residents and businesses.  Information is also available on RTC and Comcast Channel 15, www.sjbparish.com, and Facebook or Twitter. We encourage residents to sign up for Emergency Notifications at sjbparish.com and register to receive E-News Updates,” said Communication’s Director Paige Falgoust.
