Fourth of July celebration

St. Hubert’s Catholic Church is holding its annual Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church grounds in Garyville. The event will have food, Bingo, Bonco, activities for children and will conclude with a fireworks display. Everyone is welcome to attend the day-long celebration.  
The Fourth of July Celebration begins at 11 a.m. with BBQ chicken dinners served in the Parish Hall along with other food items and many homemade treats, including strawberry shortcake. A free Bonco game for those 12 and over will begin at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded. Bingo begins at 5 p.m. at a cost of $20 for a paper card packet for 10 regular games, four specials and a black out game. Pastalaya will be available at 4:30 p.m. in addition to the other foods that are being served. Children’s activities begin at 4 p.m. and include games such as sack races, egg toss and other activities. The day-long celebration will culminate with a fireworks display beginning at 8:45 p.m.   
Come on out and celebrate America’s independence at the Fourth of July Celebration and enjoy the beautiful fireworks display. Parking is available around the church facility.
