Police seek armed robbery suspects

LAPLACE – A Reserve man was the victim of an armed robbery this week.
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of armed robbery in the 100 block of East 13th Street on Wednesday night. The victim was a 43-year-old man from Homewood Place. No one was injured during the incident. 
The victim told deputies he had been talking to a female he did not know when two men armed with guns approached him from behind. They took his wallet, which contained cash and identification cards, then fled to the back of East 13th Street. The unidentified woman called 911 to report the incident but left before deputies arrived on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office TIPS line at 985-359-TIPS or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. Citizens who call Crimestoppers and submit an anonymous tip may qualify for a cash reward. Callers with information do not have to testify in court and will be issued a tip number to be identified for the potential reward.
