Conrad L. Vaughan, 84, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Louisiana War Veteran’s Home in Jackson, La. He was born in Norco, was a resident of Central, retired from Kaiser Aluminum and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Visitation was held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs on Friday, June 7, 2013, with
a Mass of Christian Burial following conducted by Fr. Mike Moroney. Burial followed in Azalea Rest Memorial Cemetery in Zachary.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Gloria Haydel Vaughan; son Walter Jules Vaughan and wife Brenda; daughter Angela Cook-Clement and husband Stephen; sister Mary Vaughan; nine grandchildren and spouses: Joshua Vaughan and wife Kim, Lauren Foster and husband Adam, Lindsey Cook, Leeann Cook, Daniel Cook, Connor Vaughan, Morgan and Sarah Clement and Ashley Nix and husband Justin; and five great-grandchildren: Kalee, Samantha, Drew, Phillip and Grant.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Vaughan.
