Summer Food program begins in June

LAPLACE – The Health and Human Services Summer Food Service Program will offer free nutritious meals to children for six weeks during the summer beginning June 3 and ending July 18 at East and West Bank schools in the parish. Children participating in the St. John the Baptist Parish Summer Camp will also participate in the SFSP.
Breakfast will be served Monday-Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. at the following locations:
• West St. John Elementary School- 2555 Hwy 18, Edgard
• Garyville/Mt. Airy Math & Science Magnet School – 240 Hwy 53, Mount Airy
• East St. John Elementary School- 400 Ory Dr., LaPlace
• New Wine Christian Center Fellowship- 1929 West Airline Hwy, LaPlace
Lunch will be served Monday-Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the following locations:
• West St. John Elementary- 2555 Hwy 18, Edgard
• LaPlace Elementary School- 393 Greenwood Dr., LaPlace
• East St. John Elementary School- 400 Ory Dr., LaPlace
• 5th Ward Elementary School- 158 Panther Dr., Reserve
• Garyville/ Mt. Airy Math & Science Magnet School- 240 Hwy 53, Mount Airy
• New Wine Christian Center Fellowship- 1929 West Airline Hwy, LaPlace
• Emily C. Watkins Elementary- 938 La Highway 628, LaPlace
