Students were challenged to sell a minimum of 30 tickets per family. Students who sold the minimum received a free entry bracelet to the Crusader Country Hoedown, which featured games and activities such as face painting, musical hats, needle in a haystack, pony rides, a mechanical bull and much more.
The event was open to the public, and guests included Crusader families, friends, faculty, staff and alumni. The Knights of Columbus served BBQ and chicken tender dinners and donated the proceeds to the school.
The winners of the Raffle Ticket prizes were Sheila Torregano, third place winner of six Audubon Nature Institute Passes valued at $90; Tiphanie Dumas, second place winner of $500 cash; and Britni Zimmerman, first place winner of a Vacation Package valued at $2,000. Each family selling 30 tickets had their name entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of five cash prizes, which went to the Capdeboscq, Lewis, Lobue/Bourgeois, Matar and Orgeron families.
