LAPLACE – Louisiana State Police Troops A and B and the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office will be closing Interstate Highway 10 East and West intermittently while escorting a large vessel through that corridor in the early morning hours of May 14.

The escort will begin at approximately 1 a.m. and will start at U.S. Highway 51 in LaPlace  The escort will continue to Louisiana Highway 641 at mile post 197.  Motorists should expect delays and slow moving traffic.

If motorists observe hazardous situations or possible impaired drivers, they are urged to call *LSP (*577) and report the activity.
