Lea Champagne, 13, daughter of Jenny and Freddie Champagne of Garyville, was awarded the 2013 Connie Miano dance scholarship at the annual recital. The scholarship, which covers a year’s dance tuition, is awarded to an outstanding student. Champagne was chosen for her graceful elegance in dance and her dependability of accomplishment.
