Noemie Laurent Michel Gauthe, 97, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013. She was a native of Hester and a resident of Lutcher since 1960.  
She is survived by her children: Earl Michel (Judi), Betty Amato and Margie Brignac (Hubert). She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren: Renee, Chad, Valarie, Craig, Michelle, Lisa, Carolyn, Joseph, Angela, Carl, Darryl (deceased), Cheri, Todd and Chantel, as well as 22 great-grandchildren.  
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace Gauthe, and by first marriage, Lester Michel; her son-in-law Val Amato, her parents, Eve Julienne Berthelot and Joseph Philogene Laurent, and all of her siblings: Raoul Laurent, Philomene L. Libert, Agnes L. Brady, Mathilda L. Keating, Aurore L. Tregre and Hazel L. Keating.
She was an active church member and was a member of the St. Joseph choir for years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, involved in nursing home activities and a facilitator for Bible groups.  
Services were held Monday, April 8, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Rose Lynn Funeral Services was in charge of the arrangements. To sign and view the family guestbook, visit www.roselynnfuneralhome.com.
