Inez Marie Oubre, 92, was born on July 31, 1920, and passed away on Jan. 9, 2013. She was a native and resident of Gramercy and a former resident of New Orleans for more than 30 years.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law: Iris S. Oubre and Anna Lea Oubre; and her nieces and nephews: Lynn Oubre, Sidney Oubre Jr., Wayne Oubre, Marsha O. Cahill, Judith O. St. Pierre, Kenneth Oubre, Bryan Oubre and Lisa O. Loving.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eunice Oubre; brothers: Sidney Oubre Sr., Joseph C. Oubre and Lucien Oubre; and sister, Marie “Noon” Oubre, as well as a niece, Lynnelle Oubre Matthieu.

She was a retiree from Charity Hospital in New Orleans and an active member of CDA in New Orleans and Court of St. Joseph in Paulina.

Visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Sacred

Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy. Visitation will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina.
