MCCORMACK

 

Doris Dauzat Calamia McCormack, 84, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012. 

McCormack was the beloved wife of Marcel McCormack, the mother of Gretchen Reese, Alison Dugas and the late Kevin Unbehagen and the daughter of the late Lonice Willis and Lillian Marie Dauzat. She was the sister of James Dauzat and grandmother of Chris Dugas, Nicole Dickerson and Rachel Dugas. She was also great-grandmother of Joey and Jaidyn Dugas and Ellie and Alex Dickerson.

She was raised in the New Orleans area and resided in LaPlace for 20 years. She excelled in her banking career with National Bank of Commerce in Jefferson/Whitney National Bank and as owner of Acadian Decorating in LaPlace. She was a past president of the Veteran’s Boulevard Business Association and a member of the Gulf States Quilting Association and Quilting Fans of LaPlace.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services. Visitation will be held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by services in the funeral home chapel at noon. Burial will be private at a later date.
