Undercover operation locates numerous deadbeat dads

LAPLACE – The St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office have captured some of St. John’s most wanted deadbeat dads in a joint undercover operation. The offenders owed a combined total of more than $140,000 in back child support.
Among those arrested were several LaPlace residents: Willis Anderson, 36; Craig Johnson, 53; Allen Snyder Jr., 36; Davon Wells, 22; Frank Linares, 30; and Herbert Swetnam, 52. Also arrested were: Louis Anderson III, 36, of Garyville; Norris Belvin Jr., 36, of Reserve; Tyrone Lumar, 58, of Edgard; L.J. McCoy, 39, of Paradis; Kenneth Robertson, 28, of Garyville; and Mauricio Ruiz, 40, who was arrested by the Texas Border Patrol as he attempted to leave the country.
The undercover operation took place over a 2 1/2 month time span. Twelve suspects were captured, but 23 offenders with active child support warrants are still at large. Warrants remain outstanding on: Ken Antoine Bardell, David Allen Cole, Devaliant Cole, Russell Joseph Cooke, Trauhn Damone Johnson, Rodney Joseph, Willie Joseph, Gregory Mizell, David Moore, Nathaniel Pembrook, Jermaine Perrilloux, Herman Perry Jr., Roosevelt Preston Jr., Mack Arthur Small Jr., Calvin Stewart, David Wright and Bree Tamplain.
