LAPLACE – On Monday at 10:51 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Ash Street in LaPlace.
When deputies arrived, a male subject with gunshot wounds was found at the end of Phoenix Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was identified as David Sharlow Jr., 27, of LaPlace. Anyone with information regarding this homicide can call St. John the Baptist Parish detectives at 985-652-6338 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
That murder brought the total for St. John Parish to eight for 2012 not counting two justifiable homicides. In 2011, six people were murdered in St. John Parish.
