Krewe du Monde 2013 court

R.J. Ory and Katelyn Ory will share the spotlight as King and Queen du Monde XXXIV in the River Parishes’ largest Carnival celebration in LaPlace.
The King and Queen and members of their royal court will be officially presented at the 34th Krewe du Monde Ball at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner. Krewe du Monde “Lends an Ear to States In Song” is the theme.  The parade rolls through LaPlace on Sunday, Feb. 10, beginning at noon.
R. J. Ory is employed by Cyprexx Services. R.J. and his wife Rochelle have been married for one year, and between them they have five children, Katelyn Ory, Chris, Tim, Gabby and Dominic Boesen. R.J. was a Duke in 2009.
Katelyn Ory, the daughter of R.J. Ory and Janelle Roy, graduated from Archbishop Chapelle in Metairie in 2009. She is a senior at Louisiana State University studying accounting and dental hygiene. Katelyn served as a Maid in Krewe du Monde in 2010.
Pages to the King are Dominic Boesen, son of Tom Boesen and Rochelle Ory of LaPlace, and Luke Boucvalt, son of Chris and Lesli Boucvalt of LaPlace.  
Pages to the Queen are Alex Roy, son of Stephen and Janelle Roy of Ponchatoula, (Alex is brother to the Queen) and DeeDee Duhe, daughter of Matt and Taryn Duhe of Walker.
Other members of the royal court are:
• Duke Steven Louque of Paulina and Maid Merryn Guidry of LaPlace.
Louque is Secretary of Operations for Lamar Contractors Inc. Steven and his wife Natalie have three children, Olivia, Brock and Lily. Guidry, the daughter of Francis “Bubby” and Maria is a student at Louisiana State University and is majoring in environmental engineering.
• Duke Chris Boucvalt of LaPlace and Maid Paige Bourgeois of Lutcher.
Boucvalt is senior field engineer for Verizon Wireless. Chris and  his wife Lesli have two children, Luke and Will. Bourgeois, the daughter of  Denise T. Bourgeois and Kyle Bourgeois of Lutcher, is a student at Louisiana State University and is majoring in dermatology.
• Duke Todd Poche of Gramercy and Maid Lindsey Blank of Paulina.
Poche is a lineman for Entergy.  Todd and his wife Ginger have two children, Nicole and Holly. Blank, the daughter of Curtis and Mona is a senior at Southeastern Louisiana University majoring in nursing.
• Duke Greg Miller of Destrehan and Maid Jasmine Tregre of LaPlace.
Miller is an attorney in Norco and a Louisiana state representative.  Greg and his wife Amy Pfrimmer live in Norco. Tregre, the daughter of Sheriff Mike and Tanyia, is a student at Louisiana State University studying nutritional sciences and kinesiology with a pre-med concentration.
• Duke Jimmy Delaneuville of Garyville and Maid Jaci Lynn Poirrier of Paulina.
Delaneuville is a project manager for Rain CII Carbon LLC. Jimmy and his wife have two children, Sean and Kristen Roccaforte. Poirrier, the daughter of Todd and Robin, is a student at Nicholls State University.
• Duke William Millet of Gramercy and Maid Cherish Vicknair of Paulina.
Millet is employed by Enterprise Products. William and his wife have three children, Brook Boe, Parker Millet and Layla Millet. Vicknair, daughter of Joey “Truck” and Christine, is a junior at Southeastern Louisiana University majoring in mass communication.
• Captain Randy Zaidain of LaPlace and Captain’s Lady Michelle Zaidain of LaPlace.
Randy is Krewe du Monde’s Captain and Michelle is the Captain’s Lady. Randy has been involved with LaPlace Lions Club and Krewe du Monde since 2005.  Zaidain and his wife have two daughters, Zoe and Ashleigh. Zaidain owns and operates Bengal Security in LaPlace.
Krewe du Monde was founded by the LaPlace Jaycees in 1974. The current Krewe du Monde activities are run by and for the benefit of the Lion’s Club of LaPlace. The krewe’s parade is the largest in the River Parishes.
