LAPLACE – St. Charles Catholic students recently strutted their stuff at their annual French Fashion Show. Students had the opportunity to embrace their inner super model by selecting their own outfits. SCC French teacher Christine Klibert created the event seven years ago, and it has become a highly anticipated show among students ever since.

“This activity is designed for them to use the language. It is very personal and a type of self-discovery learning,” said Klibert.

Students took turns modeling and describing their ensembles as part of their oral assessment for their chapter 10 test. Each of them used their Apple iPads to implement technology into the show.

“One of our last units was on clothing, so this is a fun way for us to show what we learned,” said student Erin Monica.

The students used various props and accessories to complete their outfits and let their personalities shine through as they sashayed across the room. SCC student Kristen Trichell was a crowd favorite when she took the runway.

“I chose to dress like a classy business woman because it shows my personality. I always love anything that shines and has glitter,” said Trichell.
