Ronald James Ralser Sr., 72, a lifelong resident of LaPlace, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, of natural causes at his hunting camp in Greensburg, Miss. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, owner of Statewide Recovery and an active member of Metairie Rotary Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Margaret Leveque Ralser. He was the proud father of Deborah Varnam, Ronald “Bo” Ralser Jr., Richard Ralser Sr., Michael Ralser and Ryan Ralser, father-in-law of Robert Varnam Jr. and Kim Rodrigue Ralser, loving grandfather of Ashley Varnam, Celeste Johnson, Richard Ralser Jr., Derrick Ralser, Brandon Ralser, Logan Ralser, Jacob Ralser and Nicholas Ralser and brother of Joseph Ralser and Steven Ralser of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marcella Ralser.
He was well loved and will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m. at St Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace. Burial will follow at St. John Memorial Gardens. Millet-Guidry is in charge of arrangements.
