LAPLACE – Family members and students shared time together enjoying the fall weather at Ascension of Our Lords’ annual Fall Fun Fest Family Picnic.

The school yard was filled with laughter as families enjoyed good food, music, and games.        

“It allows for our families to come together to share in our mission. We don’t just teach children academics. We want them well-rounded,” said Principal Toni Ruiz.         

Teachers and parents worked diligently at different booths to provide fun-filled activities for students. Activities included space walks, arts and crafts, face painting and much more.     

“Our kids were so excited that they actually slept in their spirit T-shirts because they didn’t want to be late,” said parent Joe Cramer.
