LAPLACE – On Monday, Nov. 5, at 6:19 p.m., St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 400 block of East Airline Highway in LaPlace for the report of a subject being shot.  

When deputies arrived, they found a 51-year-old Garyville man with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was transported to University Hospital in New Orleans for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

No one else was injured during the incident.

The investigation re-vealed the victim was driving his truck from the rear of Kenny’s R&B Club when he was approached by three un-identified male subjects. Multiple gun-shots were heard, and the victim was found behind the business with multiple gunshot wounds. Two of the three subjects were dressed in dark clothing, and the third subject was dressed in a tan overall. The three men’s hair styles were medium length dreadlocks. The three men left the area in a tan Chevrolet Malibu with a black bumper. The investigation is ongoing.
