Court Regent Debra Rouillier, announced at the CDA monthly meeting in October, “Court St. Joseph No. 1642 has been recognized by the State Catholic Daughters of Americas Court for several accomplishments thus far in 2012.”

Rouiller went on to list the following recognitions awarded the court:  With a score of 90.5 in the Newsletter St. Joseph Court No. 1642 placed second in the state. For outstanding work done in the Circle of Love Program St. Joseph Court No. 1642 placed first in state. Court St. Joseph was also recognized for outstanding participation in the Leadership program for the Circle of Love Program.

The Circle of Love is a seven-point program bound together by the common interest of love.  The seven points are the needs of the Church and community best served by the Catholic Daughters in the areas of projects, life, youth, legislation, education, spiritual and leadership.  Courts are asked to select those portions of the program their members feel comfortable working on in their area. Court St. Joseph made a commitment to focus and set goals in all seven areas and was able to accomplish these goals.

Those accomplishments included: Pro-life rosaries and marches, socials held in honor of those

receiving First Eucharist and Confirmation, helping with the

meal following Holy Thursday Mass, reciting the rosary at funerals as well as serving the families who have lost a member with bereavement gatherings, scholarship programs offered to 12th and eighth grade students, financial aid to a seminarian, participating in adoration, Divine Mercy, Corporate Communions, serving as ministers and sacristans throughout the

cluster, nursing home parties for Easter, Christmas and monthly bingo.
