Gertrude “Gert” Roussel Borne, 87, was born May 30, 1925, and passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012. She was a resident of Gramercy and a native of Paulina.  

She is survived by her sons and their wives: Terry and Sybil Borne and Jody and Belinda Borne, a brother, Gilbert “Zeke” Roussel Sr., a sister, Lucille Roques; grandchildren: Troy Borne and wife Hope, Kyle Borne and Cami Langley, Lindsey Pennington and husband Blake and Wesley Borne; and great-grandchildren: Parker Borne, Mason and Caden Langley and Miranda, Amber, and Hunter Theisges.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Borne, parents, Eli Roussel and Justine Poche Roussel, brothers Louis, Albert, Tom-Tom and Allen “Gingo” Roussel  and sister Isabel Roussel.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy on Monday, July 16, 2012.  Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina.
