Elizabeth “Betty” Church, born in Shirley, Mass., and a resident of Cranford, N.J., River Ridge and LaPlace, died June 27, 2012, at the age of 88.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Leonard Church, two daughters, Linda Church and Janice Church, and one grandson, David Hochstein.

She graduated from Springfield Regional High School in New Jersey, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was a long-time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a former Girl Scout leader.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Lutheran Church of the Galilean on U.S. Highway 51 in LaPlace at 7 p.m.
