John L. Ory fifth-grader Ethan Williamson Brock of LaPlace received a large collection of honors at the school’s end of year awards ceremony. Brock achieved the highest math scores in his class for the fourth nine weeks and also received awards for science and social studies, “Whale Done,” “Eager to Learn,” Readers are Leaders, Excellence and Star Student. He was chosen to participate in the “Student of the Year” program and has been invited by the National Youth Association to go to Washington, D.C., this July. His teacher was Megan Perrin.
