St. John the Baptist Parish employee Edward Morris works to pressure wash a bench near the swimming pool at Regala Park in Reserve Monday afternoon in preparation for the summer opening. Parish public works employees also spent Monday reinforcing a fence around the pool’s pump house. The parish’s two public pools, in Reserve and in Edgard, at Harold Scott Roussell Park, were originally set to open Monday at the start of summer camp, but as of Tuesday the parish said it is still working to formulate a final daily schedule of operation for both pools.
