Mr. and Mrs. Steven Brignac of Paulina are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Heidi Elizabeth to Rod Edward Remondet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Remondet of Reserve.

The wedding will be solemnized at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, with a reception following at Envie Restaurant.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Badeaux and Mr. Patrick Brignac Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruth Zeringue Brignac. Heidi is a 2006 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and a 2010 graduate of University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.A. degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders. As a spring 2012 graduate of Southern University, she received a M.S. degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Edna Melancon and the late Mr. Daniel Melancon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Remondet. Rod is a 2003 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and a 2007 graduate of Southeastern University with a B.A. degree in Business Management. He is currently employed at ISC Constructors, L.L.C. in Baton Rouge.

After a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana in Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Gonzales.
